This Privacy Policy explains how Contaxon ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and deletes your personal data when you use our application and related services.
Information We Collect
- Google/GitHub Profile Data: When you sign in using Google or GitHub, we collect basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture (if available).
- Contact Information: If you create or manage contacts inside the app, their names and email addresses are stored securely to enable communication via email.
- Login Password: If you register using email and password, your password is stored in encoded (hashed) format and never in plain text.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your login using OAuth2 (Google/GitHub).
- To send emails using the Gmail API (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send) on your behalf when you explicitly initiate an email send action within the app.
- To send email notifications to the contacts you create within the application.
- To improve the app experience and provide technical support.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google APIs (for login and email sending)
- GitHub OAuth (for login only)
These services may collect and process data according to their own Privacy Policies.
Google API Services Disclosure
Contaxon’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Scopes Requested:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send — Used exclusively to send emails on your behalf when you initiate the “Send Email” feature. We do not read, modify, or delete your existing emails.
All actions using this scope are user-initiated, and no data is shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data Retention & Deletion
- Retention: We retain Google user data only for as long as your Contaxon account remains active, or as required to provide the services you have requested.
- Temporary Data: Draft email content or temporary processing data is deleted immediately after the email is sent.
- Deletion by User Request: You may request deletion of your Google user data at any time by contacting us at contaxonapp01@gmail.com or using the “Delete Account” option within the application.
- Automatic Deletion: If you delete your account, all associated Google user data (including contacts, profile details, and cached Gmail data) will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, secure authentication, and hashed password storage. Passwords are never stored in plain text, and Google API tokens are securely managed.
